To fix or not to fix...

I've never been especially seduced by Fixies, the idea of pedalling endlessly doesn't look comfortable to me, but, ( There is always a but), The more I got into classical bicycle's world and got to know some sites like: http://brazencycleworks.blogspot.com/ , http://www.fyxomatosis.com/ o http://corpusfixie.wordpress.com/ the more I've started to be able to appreciate the beauty that lays in the idea of simplicity that comes with them, no ugly gears cables, no brake levers spoiling the delicate handlebar line...

And then, I saw this....

Yes! They are beautyfull!!

So, just by chance I came across this old BH...

It is not nicely decorated, but its in pretty good condition and I like the look of it....

Well here is my doubt: By no means I'm gonna restore it, seems to be from the eighties and the graphic job is just ugly. I'm considering to make a Reciclone's re-creation ( Basically a paint job) or to transform it into a fixie... I'm very much attracted to the last but, then again, that would mean to mutilate some parts of the bike, and somehow I find it a pity to spoil a machine that after probably more than twenty years, is still doing its job.

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment.

Quite long ago I rode this very same bicycle and you are right: it's an entry level frame not worth a restoration job.
On the other hand, it's well built and was assembled with basic but reliable parts that could deserve a makeover.
Why not give it a second chance as a fixie?
